What does a busy full-time professional, wife, mother-of-three do to unwind? Well, if you are like me, you sneak in a little "bead therapy" here and there to keep your sanity! (Which mostly means after the kids go to bed and often into the wee morning hours on weekends.)
MyBeadTherapy art jewelry pieces are all designed and created by hand by me, Heidi Kingman. My formal educational training and degrees include art, medical science, and law. What are the common denominators? Creativity. Imagination. Curiosity. Attention to Detail. A dose of perfectionism. All are qualities you want in your jewelry designer! Each piece I create is orchestrated one bead and twist of wire at a time, and greatly influenced by the wonders I see in nature, my graphic design background, and even architectural elements that intrigue me (like wrought iron, for example). My designs incorporate wire-wrapping, metal-smithing, stamping, stringing techniques -- or all of the above! I select and use high quality materials including sterling silver, copper, and gold-fill sheet metal and wire, bone, semi-precious gemstones, freshwater pearls, feathers, suede and more. I take great care to use skilled techniques and additional materials such as wire-guards, folded and rounded crimps, tightly wrapped loops, snuggly forged rivets, smoothly filed wire ends, and the highest quality stringing wire for greater suppleness and strength. My designs are even presented in pretty hand-decorated gift boxes, ready to give or to keep. I put as much care and attention into making these lovely boxes, as I do the treasures within. That way, from start to finish, you *know* you are experiencing what it is to buy a piece of art jewelry directly from an artisan who cares about her craftmanship and her clients! Request wholesale or custom orders using the Custom Orders tab above, or shop for unique handmade art jewelry on-line at either of my studios on ArtFire or Etsy. Follow my blog mybeadtherapy.blogspot.com. Come experience MyBeadTherapy, and leave the ordinary behind -- forever!
Thank you! Heidi |
